Brokeback Mountain

Brokeback Mountain its an epic American love story, based on the short story by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annie Proulx. The movie its about two young men Ennis del Mar (Ledger) and Jack Twist (Gyllenhaal) - a ranch-hand and a rodeo cowboy - who meet in one summer morning in Wyoming 1963. Through the summer they are getting closer but after three months the two part ways and over the next four years lead separate lives - getting married and having kids. However one day, Jack visits Ennis in Wyoming and the situation becomes unclear. Although Ennis and Jack struggle to keep it secret, they meet up several times annually but when they are apart, they thinking of fidelity, commitment and trust.

Brokeback Mountain was the most honored film of 2005 at Monday night’s 63rd annual Golden Globe Awards, scoring in four categories: best dramatic picture, best screenplay, best song and best director, from seven Golden Globe nominations. The movie was also Named Best Picture of 2005 by the New York Film Critics Circle, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, Southeastern Film Critics Association, and Boston Society of Film Critics.
