Costume Designers Guild Awards Winners

Memoirs of a Geisha costume director Colleen Atwood was twice honored during the eighth annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills, winning the period film costume design award for Memoirs and was presented with the Lacoste Spotlight in Film Award Saturday night, reported Daily Variety.

Among other winners were also Danny Glicker who won the contemporary film costume design prize for Transamerica and Isis Mussenden won in the fantasy film category for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

HBO’s Six Feet Under designer Jill Ohanneson took the prize in the contemporary television category while HBO’s Rome designer April Ferry won in the period/fantasy category. Designer Eduardo Castro won in the TV movie/miniseries category for CBS’ Elvis.
