Desperate Housewives

Television executives announced two days ago that four local version of Desperate Housewives - Amas De Casas Desesperadas - will be produced for Latin American TV. Desperate Housewives new version will air on Argentina’s Artear, Colombia’s RCN, and Ecuador’s Teleamazonas, while a Portuguese language version will be produced for Brazil’s Rede TV as Donas De Casa Desesperadas.

Filming will begin in late April in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Latin American version will follow the script and format of the US original, but each series will have their own cast and will include local cultural references.
