Jessica Alba in talks for The Eye remake!

According to Variety, Lionsgate is picking up Cruise/Wagner-produced remake The Eye and is in talks with one of favourite Hollywood celebrity Jessica Alba to star. The movie will be directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud and the shooting will start this winter.
Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner persuaded Paramount to buy the remake rights in 2002 and got close to making it there with Renée Zellweger till she dropped out.

Hollywood remake of Asian horror film, The Eye is a thriller about “a cornea transplant recipient who sees disturbing images in the mirror that send her on a quest to find out what happened to the eye’s previous owner.” The original thriller was made in Hong Kong directed by Thai brothers Danny and Oxide Pang.
