George Lucas

According to the news, the ‘Star Wars’ creator and founder of Lucas Animation, George Lucas is set to donate $175 million to the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts (the oldest film school in the U.S.) through his Lucas Foundation. An amount of money will go towards the construction of new educational buildings and renovations of existing structures at the school, which shaped his film career. As you can imagine, George Lucas’ gift is the largest single donation in the university’s history.

I discovered my passion for film and making movies when I was a student at USC in the 1960s, and my experiences there shaped the rest of my career.
