According to the news, the Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has won her dream role, the business women Dagney Taggart in a movie adaptation of the classic Ayn Rand novel “Atlas Shrugged”. The movie adaptation has been around Hollywood for many years and even was set to star Faye Dunaway in it. The Hollywood Celebrity Angelina is signed to star in the film as the powerful female Railroad Tycoon Dagney Taggert. The story of the rise and fall of big industry in America. The movie version of Atlas Shrugged is being put together over at Lionsgate.

Meanwhile Angelina Jolie’ next movie will be another epic adaptation, Beowulf but she’ll also star in the adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s book about the kidnap and murder of her husband, journalist Daniel Pearl. In other Celebrity news, the famous couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have created a new charitable foundation named Jolie/Pitt Foundation to aid humanitarian causes across the globe.

Jackass: Number Two was the number one movie in the weekend. The original Jackass also opened at number one but only took in $22 million while Jackass: Number Two made over $28 million. A real surprise for me! Anyway, the number two film was Jet Li’s Fearless which made only $10 million. Flyboys crashed into fourth place with only $6 million and the All The King’s Men into seventh with $3.8 million.

Next weekend, three movies will be opening. A huge triple release. Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner’s Coast Guard drama The Guardian, Billy Bob Thorton and John Heder’s comedy School for Scoundrels and the CG animated Open Season.
