Celebrities shined at the 79th annual Academy Awards

This year at 79th annual Academy Awards ceremony - which was presented Sunday night at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles - Dame Helen Mirren, who had been highly-tipped to win the gong, picked up the Best Actress Award for her performance in “The Queen”. Among other winners Martin Scorsese’s drama “The Departed” won four Oscars, including Best Picture and his first Best Director Award. Alan Arkin won Best Supporting Actor for Little Miss Sunshine, while Jennifer Hudson took home Best Supporting Actress award for her role in “Dreamgirls”. However though R&B Celebrity and actress Beyonce was not in for an Oscar she shined, as usually, on the red glamor carpet in a Grecian Armani Prive dress.
