Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh to star in The Mummy 3
IGNFilmForce reports that while speaking at Chapman University in Orange, CA where “The Mummy 3″ director Rob Cohen did a Q&A after a screening of his film “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story,” someone in the audience asked about casting in the next “Mummy” film under Universal Pictures. The site reports that Cohen revealed that Asian stars Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh will both be in “The Mummy 3.” Cohen also went on to reveal that the story takes place in China and that Jet Li will be the head Mummy in a group of Mummies. It was also confirmed that the movie producers are casting for Alex O’Connell character, who is now in his 20s in the story. Alex was previously portrayed as a 10 year old boy in “The Mummy Returns”. To be honest, I am quite surprised of this move. I would have never imagined Jet Li in “Mummy”, that is why I can’t wait to see the movie.

I think that this article is very good. I never knew if they was going to be a Mummy3. I would like to thank you for telling me that. Your blog is great, and so are your articles. Although you could describe more about the movie, like in what time period, include some screen shots (if possible), what are we expected to see in the movie, the type of the movie, and most importantly tell us what are the bad guys exactly up to. Never less, this blog is the best blog about movies yet, with some good descriptive background. Keep up the good work and keep everyone informed for upcoming movies.

Shame they couldn’t score Brendon Frazier or The Rock. I guess they must be too busy making artsy foreign films with subtitles. Another with one or two decent movies that will die a horrible drawn-out death.

I guess this is the beginning of Jet Li’s “no more martial arts films” career. Although, I’m sure they will be using his substantial martial arts movie experience in this film. In other words, I think these mummies will know Kung Fu.
