I have to agree that Daniel Craig is terrific as the right Bond for the 21st century, but Sean Connery was just right for the role 45 years ago, too. So was Brosnan more recently. Fast forward 10 years and we all might be saying Craig is over the top and we need a new guy - or maybe a woman named James Bond.
Incidentally, Brosnan is great in his recent post-Bond outing as a Civil War Yankee officer being hunted down by a Confederate soldier (Liam Neeson) over the death of his familty. It's a tough western called Seraphim Falls - check it out!
