The Sopranos wins Outstanding Drama Series
“The Sopranos” walked away with three awards, including the coveted “Outstanding Drama Series” honors recently at 59th Anniversary of the Emmy Awards. The HBO series was lucky to win the award, as it rarely goes to a show that has been canceled. The other two trophies were for “Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series” and “Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series.” As a recall Sopranos’ five cast members were nominated for individual Emmys, but none of them got their honors for their categories.
