Keira Knightly voted greatest ever movie starlet

According to a Yahoo! Entertainment survey, 1,600 movie fans named Keira Knightly as their greatest ever movie starlet. British Celebrity Keira Knightly has beaten many top Hollywood actresses like Scarlett Johansson and movie legend Judy Garland, to be named the favourite starlet. Knightly already has one Oscar nomination under her belt for her performance as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Garland, whose films include The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me In St Louis and A Star Is Born, came in second, while Scarlett Johansson who is starring in The Black Dahlia was third. And Shirley Temple, child star of the 1930s, was fifth. In the survey of film fans, Natalie Portman and Lindsay Lohan also appeared in the Top Movie Starlets list, being followed by Brooke Shields and Mia Farrow.

Al Pacino’s Dog Day Afternoon the best heist movie

According to contactmusic, in the poll of readers of British magazine Empire Hollywood legend Al Pacino’s classic movie Dog Day Afternoon was voted the best heist film of all time, beating another Pacino movie, Heat, to the top place. I have to say that it is hard to say - at least for me - a list of the best heist movie, for example I really enjoy the movie Heat or Inside Man. However, Empire’s list for the best heist movie goes on with the third place in which we find Clint Eastwood film Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, situating the great actor George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez’s Out Of Sight at number four and recent Inside Man starring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster.

‘Pretty Woman’ named best hotel scene

Pretty Woman

The romantic bath encounter between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman has been voted the best hotel-based movie scene. The hotel scene topped the poll, fighting off competition Psycho’s grim shower murder scene managed second place and The Shining’s murdered twins meeting which came third. Hotel company Travelodge compiled the list thanks to more than 3,000 movie fans.
