Grarfield

According to the news, the 2004 movie “Garfield” will have a sequel which is better than the original. In the sequel “Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties”, Hewitt’s character is off to London for work, with Meyer having an engagement ring in the pocket. In order to block the proposal Garfield the lazy orange cat goes out of his home and hops into a bag heading to England, once there Garfield is switched with Prince, an aristo-cat and you can guess what happens.

Comic superstar Garfield - still voiced by Bill Murray - returns next to Breckin Meyer and Jennifer Love Hewitt after the first film, released in 2004, took $75 million at the US box office, even more internationally and on DVD, making the sequel inevitable.

Akeelah and the Bee

Akeelah and the Bee is an excellent movie, Lions GateKeke Palmer stars as Akeelah Anderson, an eleven year-old girl from South Central Los Angeles who lands in the National Spelling Bee. With outstanding performances, Akeelah and the Bee is a sweet movie story that follows the girl who was skipping class, ending to sing up for the school spelling bee, at the school’s principal request. Fortunately for Akeelah spelling is the best and wins the bee easily, which catches the attention of Dr. Josh Larabee (Laurence Fishburne), a former college professor and National Spelling Bee participant.

Ice Age: The Meltdown

Ice Age: The Meltdown is a real joy with great jokes, the story moves very quickly and the animation is stylish. The animated comedy Ice Age was about three prehistoric animals who become unlikely friends: Manny the woolly mammoth (Ray Romano), Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo) and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger (Denis Leary).

Scrat, who was in Ice Age for less than five minutes, had now a bigger role in the sequel Ice Age: The Meltdown. Once again Scrat opens the film, but this time every 15 minutes or so he’s back with another death-defying attempt to get that elusive acorn. Scrat appearances are crucial in the sequel, and considering how the movie ended will sure have a strong role in a third Ice Age.
