The production of Curious George is the movie version of the children’s book by author H. A. Rey and his wife Margret. Ted loves his work at the local museum, but goes on an expedition to the jungles of Africa to find an ancient statue. While there he runs across George, a curious little monkey that gets into everything. When Ted returns to the city after finding a significantly smaller statue, George follows him and as soon as George arrives in the city, Ted soon finds his hands full with the troublesome monkey. George is a fun-loving monkey in Africa that likes to help any way he can. Unfortunately, what he does to help usually is the wrong thing to do.
Well produced and directed “Curious George” features a good performance by Will Ferrell, nice animation, and a decent soundtrack. It’s a great movie for kids and adults.

Suitable for all ages “Hoodwinked” is an updated re-telling the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale “Little Red Riding Hood. Starting with the end, Hoodwinked is not a quality animation movie. The film tells a simple story - Little Red Riding Hood going to grandm’s house with her little basket and encountering the “big bad wolf.” The cops burst in and a crime scene is declared. Under interrogation, each story is revealed in 20-minute sequences, which add up to many different angles of the same story told apart.

The Family Stone is more like a romantic comedy about a sophisticated family gathered on Christmas. The Stones, a New England family, have their annual holiday gathering when the oldest son, Everett (Dermot Mulroney) is bringing home his fiancee Meredith (Sarah Jessica Parker) to meet the family. Meredith is not going to be an easy fit because his entire family, especially his mom who refuses to give him the previously promised family ring to pass along to this woman. Julie (Claire Danes), Meredith’s sister, comes to rescue her sister. Julie is as relaxed and natural while Meredith is the down emotionally. Most of the action takes place in the house and as you can predict, it doesn’t go well.
