According to Variety, Lionsgate is picking up Cruise/Wagner-produced remake The Eye and is in talks with one of favourite Hollywood celebrity Jessica Alba to star. The movie will be directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud and the shooting will start this winter.
Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner persuaded Paramount to buy the remake rights in 2002 and got close to making it there with Renée Zellweger till she dropped out.

Hollywood remake of Asian horror film, The Eye is a thriller about “a cornea transplant recipient who sees disturbing images in the mirror that send her on a quest to find out what happened to the eye’s previous owner.” The original thriller was made in Hong Kong directed by Thai brothers Danny and Oxide Pang.

Have you seen this film series? Because if you did you should know what to expect from Final Destination 3. The movie has the same direction as a premonition appears from the beginning of the film at pre-graduation party at an Amusement Park where Yearbook photographer Wendy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has a premonition that the coaster is going to crash.

The action begins as Wendy lost her boyfriend in the “accident,” Wendy eventually teams up with Kevin (Ryan Merriman), who lost his girlfriend. As it was expected Kevin has discovered an article on the Internet about a similar incident six years ago, a plane crash in which several people exited the plane before takeoff, but then the “Hand of Fate” picked off the survivors in the order in which they would have died had they been on the plane. (from the 1st Final Destination) Eventually, Wendy discovers that the photos she took at the Amusement Park provide clues as to how each person will die. If you work at it really, really hard, you MAY manage to cheat Fate again, and have Death skip over you and go on to the next person, but it’s a temporary cheat, since Death cannot be stopped. I recommend this film those who have seen Final Destination and Final Destination 2, but don’t let kids in the room.

Although the first movie ‘Underworld’ and this one ‘Underworld: Evolution’ have the same director, Len Wiseman, they are very unalike. The sequel picks up right were the first movie left off, but then turns into a different film genre., although Selene, a Death Dealer vampire, played by Kate Beckensale, is still the hero, and Michael is her trusty, hybrid werewolf-vampire sidekick.

The main theme of the sequel is that the twin brothers that were originally taken ill by a strange virus and then each bitten by a different animal (Marcus a bat and William a wolf) now want to help and support each other in a new scheme to rule the word. Unfortunately William locked away in a vault so secret that only one “living-dead” soul knows where he can be found.

But if the two brothers ever get together, the world will cease to exist. Selene, with the help of Michael and the twins’ father, must stop Marcus from reaching the super werewolf’s underground vault.
