United 93

Are you sure you have a hint as to what you are about to see? United 93 is an outstanding movie especially because the subject upon which it is based is intense. The film is a documentary style drama based on the events that took place aboard the fourth airliner hijacked by terrorists on September 11, 2001 ending in the crash into a Pennsylvania field. 93 minutes of realtime experience in which 40 passengers stood up as one in front of horrific fear and certain death. The movie gets my appreciation of how terror was transformed into courage, because of family members, telephone operators and that cellphone calls to loved ones all made us aware, through writer/Director Paul Greengrass, that they knew two other planes controlled by terrorist had struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

United 93 is a movie in which the emotional impact of human beings fighting for their lives is very strong and is twice more believable because was screened and approved by surviving family members of the passengers aboard flight 93.

September 11, 2001. Four planes were hijacked. Three of them reached their target. This is the story of the fourth.

Antonio Banderas

Take The Lead is a movie about the values of teamwork, respect and dignity, lessons of hard work and trust all for love of the dance. Based on a true story, Antonio Banderas plays Pierre DuLaine, a Spanish-French New York City polite dance instructor who gets the idea of teaching the aesthetics of ballroom dancing to a group of problem detention students in a tough inner-city Manhattan high school.

Mr. DuLaine shows his devotion to guide people, to help them reach their full potential and in his old-world elegance, he teaches them to feel the dance and learn discipline, honor and self-respect. (more…)

Aeon Flux

The Aeon Flux movie is a surprisingly good sci-fi adventure where Aeon’s played by Oscar-winner Charlize Theron, who catches all the atention with her coordination, flexibility, and strength even if her costumes covers a lot of her skin.

Aeon Flux is about the last remaining human city on the planet. In 2011, a virus killed all but 5 million people, who were saved by Trevor Goodchild and moved into the walled city of Bregna (like a perfect city) where no one ever will be allowed outside the city walls. For 400 years, the Goodchilds take over Bregna and you should not ask any questions about the people who sometimes disappeared. (more…)
