Composer Robert Lopez and his wife, Kristen Anderson Lopez, have renewed ‘Finding Nemo’ for the musical stage in Florida. The musical is scheduled to debut later this year at the Theater in the Wild at Disney`s Animal Kingdom theme park in Orlando. ‘Finding Nemo - The Musical’ will be Disney`s first non-musical animated feature to make such a transition, Playbill.com reported.

Like Disney`s Broadway production of ‘The Lion King,’ ‘Finding Nemo’ will come to life through puppetry styles including live performers operating large puppets, designed by Michael Curry.

According to MTV news, Mariah Carey is planning to star in her own Broadway musical. The R&B diva Mariah Carey, wants to have creative control over the show, which she says will include both new material and songs from 1994 album Merry Christmas. Meanwhile Mariah Carey is said to star in Tennessee, a movie which will be directed by Aaron Woodley and will be produced by Lee Daniels.

I don’t want to mention anything definitive until things are signed… It’s probably going to be a movie first. I don’t want to say a television movie, because it’s not like a cheesy network movie, but then it’s going to be made for the Broadway production. So the [TV movie] will set the stage for the stage.
