Hollywood actors Johnny Depp And Orlando Bloom are up for best male performance at British National Film Awards, being both nominated for this category, for their roles in summer blockbuster ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’. Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom will compete for the same award at the first ever British National Film Awards, alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint for ‘Harry Potter And The Order of the Phoenix’, and from Daniel Craig who has been nominated for his debut outing as James Bond in ‘Casino Royale’.

You can vote for your favourite star or movie online at nationalmovieawards.com but also at cinemas throughout the UK and published in national newspapers and magazines. The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 28 September and will air on ITV1 the next day.

When you think about the Oscars you think about Razzies also. This year at 27th Annual Razzie Awards nominees, a ceremony which honors the worst of Hollywood, Sharon Stone’s box-office bomb received seven nominations, among them worst picture and worst actress of the year and the nickname “Basically, It Stinks, Too”. The 64th Golden Globe nominations has been announced recently, “Babel” - starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, topped the list with seven Golden Globe Awards nominations. The movie is up for Best Drama, Best Supporting Actress for Adriana Barraza and Rinko Kikuchi, Best Director for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Best Supporting Actor for Brad Pitt among others.

Among other movies, Martin Scorsese’s thriller “The Departed” is nominated in six categories including Best Drama, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Supporting Actor for Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg, Best Director for Martin Scorsese and Best Screenplay for William Monahan.

The winners will be announced on January 15 in Beverly Hills.
