George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio are two of Hollywood’s most politically active stars are in talks to team for a political thriller. Reports say Hollywood actor George Clooney will direct Leonardo DiCaprio in Farragut North, and both actors would also produce the Warner Bros film. The political thriller Farragut North is an adaptation of an upcoming Broadway play loosely based on Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential election campaign.

The Broadway upcoming play was written by Beau Willimon, who worked on the Dean campaign, directed by Mike Nichols and is set to open in fall 2008, just before the presidential election. (more…)

In her busy schedule the Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie is looking to add television to the agenda by making a new project. The actress has in mind to produce a drama about humanitarian aid group Doctors Without Borders and hopes HBO will buy it. Angelina’s new TV project reminds of a documentary show The Diary Of Angelina Jolie And Dr. Jeffrey Sachs In Africa which I saw on MTV. The half an hour special episode of the Diary series followed UN goodwill ambassador Jolie and UN adviser/economist Dr. Jeffrey Sachs as they traveled to Sauri. Sachs’ UN Millennium Project team was working to end poverty, hunger and disease afflicting the area.

Jolie wants to produce a drama about the humanitarian aid group Doctors Without Borders. They’re hoping to sell it to HBO. Brad (Pitt) and Angelina have been supporters of ours for a long time. They have been meeting with us to learn more about our work. And they have been meeting with other people about a possible project.

According to reports, Jessica Biel has turned down the offer to play comic book superhero Wonder Woman. Last week it was said that the actress is in talks to take on the role in the forthcoming George Miller-directed movie Justice League Of America, but Entertainment Weekly claims Jessica Biel has followed in Kate Beckinsale’s footsteps and declined the part. I’m not a fan of Jessica but I am sure she is waiting for tempting parts, ones in which she can actually show her acting skills if she has any.

The film Justice League Of America which was penned by Kieran and Michele Mulroney, will follow the adventures of superheroes like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Aquaman and the Flash.

Jessica Biel is currently filming the drama Powder Blue opposite Forest Whitaker and then A Woman of No Importance based on the play by Oscar Wilde.
