Oprah Winfrey earns four times more than other TV stars

Financial magazine Forbes published recently a list of the highest-paid TV celebrities, in which the show host Oprah Winfrey topped it earning an gigantic amount of $260 million between June 2006 and June 2007. Oprah was followed by Jerry Seinfeld earning $60 million, Simon Cowell a judge on top-rated talent show “American Idol” earned $45 million taking the 3rd place.

Another talk show host, David Letterman, came on the 4 place by raking in $40 million while Donald Trump with his reality show “The Apprentice” was No. 5 with $32 million.

Daytime personalities dominate our list of TV’s top earners, with most competition among morning and afternoon talk show hosts.

Bill Clinton to talk about “Giving” on Oprah

Here’s something new, former President Bill Clinton will appear on Oprah Winfrey’s TV talk show on September 4th, according to China Daily. The interview will focus his new passion, books. Mr. Clinton will promote “Giving,” a book on philanthropy and civic action which is set for release on the same date. This is not the first time when the queen of the chat show Oprah is interviewing Clinton she first had the change back in 2004 for his memoir “My Life. Anyway, his upcoming book “Giving” praises Winfrey’s “Angel Network,” which has donated millions of dollars around the world and also includes comments from Winfrey.

Bill Clinton will talk about his new passion with Larry King on CNN and with David Letterman on CBS television’s “Late Show.”

Jennifer Lopez to executive produce Amigas

According to the news, the actress/singer Jennifer Lopez is set executive produce alongside Jane Startz “a TV series about five Miami teens who run a Quinceanera party-planning business.” The TV show which is titled “The Amigas Sweet 15 Club” and it’s a half-hour comedy-drama which will be included on Jennifer’s show and it’s based on an original idea by Jane Startz, who also produced the film and TV series based on “The Baby-Sitters Club” books. The show follows the teens as they use their talents “to launch an after-school”, trying to make it in the business.

In other Celebrity news, Jennifer Lopez announced the release of her sixth studio album, titled Brave, set for release on October 9th. Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and Sir Elton John have been approached to appear on TV British show “X Factor”.
