Everyone talks about the upcoming movie 300 and everyone expects it. So I thought that it would be nice to give you a quick preview of it. The movie “300″ is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel interpretation, of the Battle of Thermopylae. According to its official website the producers are using the latest environment techniques, to give us a unique viewing experience. The plot is based on historical facts. In the year 480 BC, the emperor Xerxez of Persia attempted to add Greece to his growing empire, by invading it. It was a time when Greece was organized into city-states, the greatest which were Athens and Sparta. Confronting with the upcoming invasion, the Greeks attempt to raise an army to fight for their freedom and homes. Anyway, raising this army will take time, so in order to buy the time to get the army ready, King Leonidas of Sparta offers himself and 300 of his elite guard to hold off the entire Persian army of more than 100,000 men. They made their stand at Thermopylae, though they knew they were going to die.
The movie will hit theaters on March 9, 2007 and actors like Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Dominic West, Vincent Regan, Rodrigo Santoro will star in the drama. Enjoy! I’ll sure will.
